Enabling Works for new school, Rototuna, Hamilton

All enabling works, erosion and settlement ponds, outfall structures, earth bund, open cut swale drains, site clearance, temporary access roads and initial preload of an area 6,500m2.
Additional to the enabling works, Schick were awarded the new design and build Rototuna School Collector Road construction contract for Hamilton City Council.

Full depth construction from greenfield up to 940mm, which included subgrade trimming and ground improvement layers of rock and geofabrics, AP65 placement and TNZ40 (over 20,000m3 were placed around islands) and traffic lights. Once the pavement was complete a Grade 5 membrane seal was finished with AC14 asphalt. Scope also included installation of several complex deep lines. 550m 1200 dia concrete stormwater line with 1800 dia manholes with an average depth of 2.45m and 550m of 225 dia PVC wastewater line with 1200 dia manholes with average depth of 4m.
The success of this contract led to the addition of other variation work and the North City/ Bourne Brook intersection upgrade amounting to $150,000.00
