Partnering for Impact

At Schick Civil Construction, we recognize that our success is a result of the contributions of our staff, customers, business partners, suppliers, community, and shareholders. To show our appreciation and give back, we strive to make a positive impact on these groups.

We want to contribute to endeavours that promote excellence, grow youth into leaders, support the community within which we live and work, support our families, and promote our own business growth.

Our aim is to assist with building communities from the ground up, and we do this through a variety of partnerships.

Schick's approach to Stakeholder and Community Engagement

Project Engagement – Our Project Methodology (CMP) includes a Community and Stakeholder Management Plan. This plan is implemented in partnership with the lead engineer and client. It is designed to ensure key stakeholders are informed and engaged in the project. This includes council members, clients, neighbors, and others. By actively engaging stakeholders, we drive successful outcomes.

Community Support – We engage with local community boards and trusts to find opportunities to support the development of local assets and community projects.

Schick Civil - Waikato Rowing Club

Schick Civil has been a proud sponsor of the Waikato Rowing Club for many years. The Waikato Rowing Club embodies Schick’s values of excellence, leadership, and community. With a long history of success, the Club fosters a supportive environment where rowers of all levels can test their aspirations and realise their potential. This partnership enables us to help the Club in continuing to promote excellence, grow future generations into leaders, and support the wider community.

Oho Mauri

Schick Civil is proud to be a partner of Oho Mauri. The charitable trust does great work supporting young people in Huntly and Ngaruawahia and is focused on awakening the inner potential of these young people through education, training, and entry level employment. Schick is pleased to be able to offer work experience opportunities to a community we’ve worked in and around for over 20 years. Along with Oho Mauri, we hope to help build the skills and confidence of these young people, so that they can enter full employment and contribute positively to their communities.

St John's College

Schick Civil is excited to be sponsoring the upgrade of the St John’s College field, so young men now, and in years to come have a safe place to train, learn, play and compete. The St John’s College Foundation are committed to ensuring a sustainable and thriving future for the College, so it can continue its good working for the future generations of young men. Their “Playing for Keeps” initiative involves the installation of a modern drainage and irrigation system to the field, as well as a terraced bank for spectators to enjoy.
