Schick’s Nelson team have been working on the development of the Coastal View Retirement Village, a ‘new generation retirement village’ in Nelson since January 2020.
This major transport project borders the Ruakura Superhub, and once complete will be a key connection from the Waikato Expressway to Ruakura and existing city roads.
Once complete, the property development project will have 888 sections available to house approximately 2,200 people. Schick is contributing to work on 172 of these sections in stages 11 and 13 to 16.
The upgrade work completed by Schick provided a safer intersection and better traffic flow for road users, addressed community concerns around safety as well as congestion at peak times.
The new roundabout not only acts as a gateway into the new neighbourhood of Peacocke, it also improved safety on Ohaupo Road/State Highway 3 and for vehicles turning in and out of Dixon Road.
Formation of drain profile to create linear wetlands and stormwater drain system
Construction of various ponds to create enhanced waste water treatment system
Remediation of existing asphalt surfaced hard courts, access entrance and associated drainage
